Simply put,
Fragrance = Perfume Oil (or ‘Attar’) + Alcohol.
Perfume Oil/Attar is essentially an extract of fruits, flowers, wood etc. Mixing different Attars generates different smells. They are generally oily in nature. Alcohol (along with small amounts of preservatives) is added as the base to convert it into a spray form.
The quality of the Attar used defines the quality of the final product. An Attar may cost from ~Rs.10,000 per litre to lakhs of rupees per litre depending on the quality of raw ingredient used. We sincerely mean it when we say we have not cut corners and have used very high grade Attars in our product. Additionally, by changing the amount of Perfume Oil used, you can change the lasting-power of the fragrance. The more the Perfume Oil/Attar added, the more the lasting power.
